Acuity
Acuity for Students/Nursing Care
Acuity is based from nursing judgement, process and documentation. Students may have several diagnoses, this may take the student from an acuity level of 2 to an acuity level 3. Acuity level 4 and 5 are usually really small numbers.

Schools are Required to Report Acuity of StudentsA.C.A. §6-18-709 requires reporting the acuity of students in the state which supports the A.C.A §6-18-706 which is student to nursing ratio.

Example:
The acuity number of students must match the enrollment submitted for the school-district on October 1st.
Example:
District Enrollment-100 students
Level 5 acuity-0 students
Level 4 acuity-4 students
Level 3 acuity-10 students
Level 2 acuity-20 students
Level 1 acuity 66 students ( this is the only number that the data entry person can change and it needs to equal the enrollment submitted for the October 1 date for the state)
